The final push to publish my novel Thundering Hooves is on! The editing will be complete this week and final proof copy ordered. I considered waiting to publish until closer to Thanksgiving when the Christmas shopping season begins, but the wild horses can’t wait. All over the west our government continues it’s push to destroy our herds for the benefit of wealthy welfare ranchers who want wildlife off of our public lands so they have more free food for their livestock.
It is my fervent hope that Thundering Hooves, and the other novel in the series, Spirit of the Wolf will educate the public as to the brutal tactics of the BLM, and help effect change in this nations wildlife policy. As more and more wildlife enthusiasts move to the mountain states, it becomes all the more imperative to change from outdated 19th century consumptive policies to modern ecotourism centered land usage.
A Free Read

Spirit of the Wolf is my first novel in the series of wildlife novels. The book introduces my main characters, Caleb and Lacey, who move to Montana and meet Angie, who leads a local wildlife activism group. The plot of the story is centered around world famous real life alpha wolf named 06 (Luna in the book) for the year of her birth. In the story you will read about her amazing life of cunning and courage as my main characters do all they can to stop Wyoming and Montana Ranchers from killing the wolf packs that were painstakingly reintroduced to the landscape in the 1990’s on the heels of the creation of the Endangered Species Act.
As the fall season in the mountains comes to an end, the sun dips behind the mountains earlier, and the nights turn colder, a good book to read might be a welcome addition to your evenings!! As I prepare to publish Thundering Hooves, I am making the Kindle eBook version of Spirit of the Wolf, free to read this weekend only. Take this opportunity to meet the main characters and learn the heartbreaking story of the most famous She Wolf of all time. To get your free copy, just click the link which will take you to it’s Amazon page where you can select the eBook version and download it for free. The paperback version can also be purchased at it’s regular price if you would rather have real paper in your hands.
In Thundering Hooves, Angie alerts Caleb about the plight of Colorado’s Sand Wash Basin mustang herd, and urges him to continue his wildlife work on behalf of the wild mustang herds of the Rocky Mountain West.
In this historical novel, you will learn of the horrific treatment of our iconic wild horses at the hands of the very government agency entrusted to care for them humanely.

It is my hope that by alerting the public to this travesty, we can end the 19th century practice of leasing public land designated for wildlife to ranchers. Let public federal land remain unspoiled by the thousands of cattle and sheep that are currently allowed to destroy the landscape for wildlife and for those who would like to visit and see our nations wildlife in their natural habitat.
Please share this post widely, along with my Amazon Page, so we can educate the public about the treatment of our wildlife by our government. On a side note, there is a bill working it’s way through congress called the Snowmobiles Aren’t Weapons Act, in an attempt to ban the barbaric practice of running over animals with snowmobiles to deliberately main and torture them.
