Big Update for the 4th

I’m not a fan of rapid change, I created my landing page a few years ago and haven’t changed the main substance of it since! My professional photography path which began in the early 90’s was geared toward weddings and portraiture, H.S. seniors, glamour portraits and models. At one time I was running a successful studio in Denver and was having the time of my life.

Then came the 08 crash and the decade that followed was not kind. My wife was diagnosed with breast cancer in 09 and in the years to follow, nearly everything was lost… the studio, our home, most of our stuff and eventually her life. It was in the darkest days following that experience that this blog was born. I didn’t have the studio anymore so I had sold most of the lighting equipment to raise cash for medicine and treatments. But through it all I held on to my best camera body and my precious Canon 70-200 F4L lens, my wildlife lens. It was with that humble equipment that I had to start anew.

Following her passing, wildlife and 14ers were my life, the photography equipment I had was sufficient for a new start in those activities so I crafted a blog site within those parameters. One winter day I put my camera on a tripod and snapped a profile image of myself which became the signature image on my WordPress site. Lol, and it has remained on the page from then until today 🙂

In the last couple of years I have recovered financially and have been able to acquire the latest in light weight modern lighting gear with all new battery technology to power a restart of my model portfolio and portrait business specializing in the natural outdoor imagery that modeling agents prefer. So over the last couple of months I have been remodeling my site to include my new equipment and capabilities.

And so, it is for this 4th of July I have finally uploaded a new signature image to my landing page. It’s appropriately one of my favorite models and images that I shot before the big crash. I hope you enjoy the image and the new direction my photography is taking!

Of course I will continue to enjoy and write about my mountain wildlife adventures, that will never change. My time spent with nature is what sustains me and rejuvenates me when my mind becomes weighted down by the cares of this life. Nature is where I go to find peace and re-connect with my Creator and Savior.

So stay tuned!!! Exciting times and new creations are on the way!!! There will be pictures and videos that will be shown exclusively on my Patreon Channel so I hope you will join me there! In addition to exclusive posts there, you will be eligible for cool merchandise and monthly gifts, so I’m sure you will find the channel to be an awesome bargain!
