The War On Wildlife

I thought I would put together this post comprised of nice quotes from others, to announce the completion of my wildlife trilogy which I am calling by the name of the last book in the series, "The War On Wildlife", as the entire trilogy is indeed about this nation's war on it's own four footed wild legacy.

Bighorn Jumping River

Climbing the Manitou Incline 2025

Manitou Incline

On a rare occasion people do come to visit me, and often it's because they want to climb the Manitou Incline. There may come a day when my old legs will no longer carry me up the 2700 rugged steps over the old cog railway that takes one to 8500 feet in elevation in just one mile of near verticle climbing, but on this day I was willing to give it one more try. Even though the previous sentence may have set a record for word count, last weekend's climb to the summit did not 😦

New Garmin 22x

There's nothing like a piece of new gear to jump start waning interest in an old hobby, and my new Garmin 22x GPS handheld should do the trick. Back in the day, before blogging and vlogging were even a thing, and social media wasn't an idea yet, I was posting trail reports on my website.

Cold Call: A Road Trip to the City

Streets of Littleton Colorado

I don’t make the trip to the city very often, but I’ll go when I finally cobble together enough activities to make the long trip worth while! I finished off a couple rolls of film a few weeks ago, and have been looking for the opportunity to make a trip to my favorite lab, Englewood Camera. To really make the trip worthwhile, I also planned on making a cold call at a local bookstore to see if they might stock my series of novels, Spirit of the Wolf and Thundering Hooves.
