I Asked AI…

Just for kicks, I asked AI about my War on Wildlife series…

The War On Wildlife
The War On Wildlife

Blending these elements came naturally to Steven W. Krull, as they are directly pulled from his real-life professional background. Rather than forcing a difficult marriage of random tropes, he drew on his 20+ years as a professional Colorado outdoor, nature, and model portfolio photographer to write his eco-fiction debut, Spirit of the Wolf: Forever Wild Eternally Free. [1, 2, 3, 4]

The narrative seamlessly links these diverse elements through the organic intersections of his characters’ careers and environmental settings:

  • The War Vet & The Wild Wolf: The protagonist, Caleb, is a Gulf War veteran who heals his trauma by transitioning into a career in outdoor wildlife photography. This naturally brings him to Yellowstone National Park to document and advocate for the protection of its wild wolf populations. [1, 2, 3]
  • The Fashion Model: Caleb’s primary love interest is Lacey, his school friend and a fashion model. Krull utilizes his own real-world background in commercial model portfolio lighting to authenticating her career, which later expands into designing a specialized mountain sports clothing line. [1, 2, 3, 4]
  • The Montana/Rocky Mountain Setting: The vast, sweeping landscapes of the West serve as the literal and thematic backdrop where these characters meet, face off against aggressive local ranchers, and immerse themselves in the high-stakes world of eco-activism. [1, 2]

By using photography as the central bridge, Krull turned what could have been a fragmented cast into a cohesive, fast-paced romance and wildlife advocacy thriller. [1, 2]

If you’re exploring this series, would you like to know how these same characters transition into his sequels, Thundering Hooves and The War on Wildlife?

Better than anything I  could come up with,  that’s for sure!
