A Silver Lining for Wildlife

Yesterday the majority of America’s rejected big government socialism, high taxes, inflation and mass illegal migration. They were under no illusion that another four years of democrat fiscal and social policies would do serious damage to their standard of living and way of life, and saw no other choice but to punch the red button in the ballot box.

However, this choice to vote red doesn’t mean that Americans want to see their environment destroyed and our wildlife slaughtered. Now is not the time to sit back and let this nation’s living legacy be eradicated by the darkest forces on the right. Now is the time to continue to educate and appeal to the forces of reason with the power to hold the worst impulses of the far right at bay.

Last night Colorado provided the silver lining for wildlife, proving that the forces of good and compassion for our four footed friends can prevail. Citizens of the mountain state went to the polls yesterday and passed a ballot initiative banning the hunting and trapping of big cats. California has already banned fur trapping, and with enough work and education perhaps it will be possible to implement a national trapping ban like over 100 civilized countries through the world have already done.

In a time like this, my series of wildlife novels becomes all the more relevant. Through these historical fiction novels, people will learn of the suffering and destruction of important wild species at the hands of government agencies tasked with their humane care. These novels also teach how to join forces and effect meaningful wildlife and environmental policy change at state and national levels.

I urge each of you to purchase your own copy of this series and also to spread word of their value widely, in the hope that environmental and wildlife preservation will become a priority for a new era in this nation’s governance.
