Through my blog posts, Thundering Hooves is already bringing the story of the plight of our iconic wild mustangs into the light. It is a historical fiction account of Picasso, the real life King of the Sand Wash Basin herd. This fictional account brought to your through fictional main characters will bring the story of the despicable treatment of these animals by the government agency entrusted to care for them, to even more people through this gritty and raw tale of love, loss and triumph.
I am pleased to announce that I have finally arrived at the most exciting part of this book project! I have completed the first draft of the text, thirteen chapters and 212 pages of the exciting lives of the characters introduced originally in the first of this series, Spirit of the Wolf, now available on Amazon and Lulu Press.
Now comes the task of actually traveling to the Sand Wash Basin to find and photograph the remaining horses in their actual habitat to obtain a suitable image for the cover of the book.
For my readers who would like to help out with the expense of this daunting endeavor, I am offering a signed copy of the finished book to anyone who donates $20 or more to this project.
