It's been awhile since I have taken a good look at how my wall art gallery is presented, so I thought I'd do a little sprucing up for the holidays. Summer is over and the mornings are getting colder. Frost and a cold wind on my favorite trail seem to be driving away the early morning tourists and there is a sign of hope. It seems that the deer are returning to their normal habit of drinking from the creek and watering hole at night, and making the climb over the mountain at dawn.
Ten years ago I was sipping my morning brew in my favorite coffee shop staring out at Pikes Peak, when I realized it was time to adapt. My photography business was centered around wedding photography and that genre had changed around me and I had failed to adapt. At the time I had recently moved to the mountains and was surrounded by abundant wildlife. Almost any morning I wished, I could take a short hike and would have the opportunity to photograph deer, elk, bear. fox, coyote, and many other small and fascinating creatures.

Today is the big day, the official Thundering Hooves book launch! After a year of writing, and traveling to get the pictures, and editing the text and the cover, the book is finally published!
I don't know what all I've been finding to do lately that's more important than getting out in the high country and hiking and capturing fall pictures. But today I finally awoke early and found the motivation to get in the Jeep and go look for pictures of autumn color.
Yesterday was a big day! I received my first proof copy of Thundering Hooves (Spirit of the West) from Amazon, so I can examine the cover layout and the manuscript format.
I just wanted to drop a quick post announcing the acquisition of an ISBN for Thundering Hooves! I successfully uploaded the manuscript to Amazon and ordered a proof copy, which should be arriving Monday.
I'm pleased to announce a new image gallery on my website, specifically for showcasing wild horses. I recently completed a long anticipated visit to the Sand Wash Basin herd management area, and captured a few nice images of the wild horses there.
I'm pleased to present my official temporary cover for my upcoming book, Thundering Horses, this time with real horses instead of the cartoon ones generated by Photoshop.
