I actually posted this story a few years ago, but after watching Planes Trains and Automobiles for the thousandth time last night, it seems right to republish my own train travel experience! Although not all went as planned, I must admit that there is something to be said for an experience that one can remember, relish and even write about some fourty years after the fact 🙂
