Pair of Doe mule deer in the snow

Please be sure to support a small business over the holidays this year! Sure, you might be able to save a few bucks at the big box stores, but a unique gift from a small business might be more special, and something not many other people have. Plus your small purchase could make a huge difference to a small business owner.

Well unfortunately my article Silver Lining should have been entitled Dark Cloud. Early voting indicated that Colorado voters had passed ballot measure 127, which would have banned the hunting and trapping of wild cats, including our beautiful bobcats and endangered lynx.

A Silver Lining for Wildlife

Last night Colorado provided the silver lining proving that the forces of good and compassion for our four footed friends can prevail. Last night the Mountain State passed it's ballot initiative banning the hunting and trapping of big cats. California has already banned fur trapping, and with enough work and education perhaps it will be possible to implement a national trapping ban like over 100 civilized countries through the world have already done.
