I don't know what all I've been finding to do lately that's more important than getting out in the high country and hiking and capturing fall pictures. But today I finally awoke early and found the motivation to get in the Jeep and go look for pictures of autumn color.
After reviewing my first proof of Thundering Hooves, I polished it up a bit and ordered a second proof copy.
Yesterday was a big day! I received my first proof copy of Thundering Hooves (Spirit of the West) from Amazon, so I can examine the cover layout and the manuscript format.
I just wanted to drop a quick post announcing the acquisition of an ISBN for Thundering Hooves! I successfully uploaded the manuscript to Amazon and ordered a proof copy, which should be arriving Monday.
I was fortunate to be able to arrange a trip to the Colorado Sand Wash Basin to visit the wild horse herd in quest of a cover for my new book Thundering Hooves.
Summer is finally behind us and most of the tourists have gone home. Peace and quiet have returned to the Eleven Mile Canyon and as a result, so have our raptors. I'm pleased to announce a new image gallery on my website, specifically for showcasing wild horses. I recently completed a long anticipated visit to the Sand Wash Basin herd management area, and captured a few nice images of the wild horses there.
For nearly a quarter of a century, Fonzy has been my little buddy through thick and thin. Last night as always, he stretched his neck out and purred when I gave him his nightly feeding, petted his head and scratched his neck. Sadly though, sometime in the night he crossed Rainbow Bridge. However, I can say with certainty, he enjoyed his life right to the end 🙂
