Colorado photographer and author, Steven W. Krull has just released his third historical fiction / romantic adventure novel in the War on Wildlife Trilogy, five years in the making. The War on Wildlife, third release in the series, is focused primarily on Colorado’s voter mandated effort to reintroduce wild wolves to the mountain ecosystem.
This important work chronicles wildlife conservation, preservation and reintroduction efforts from Yellowstone National Park, to the western slopes of Colorado over two decades of heartbreak and triumph as seen through the eyes of Krull’s eclectic cast of engaging characters as they come of age in the early decades of the 21st century.
Krull has spent the last five years researching various iconic animals, starting with his book Spirit of the Wolf, andthe life of Yellowstone’s famous wolf 926F, known by many as 06 for the year she was born.
The saga continues in Thundering Hooves: Spirit of the West, as the main character learns of the planned destruction of Colorado’s Sand Wash Basin mustang herd and the Colorado governors effort to save it.
Finally in the third book of the trilogy, The War On Wildlife, the main characters learn to navigate life in a new reality following the Pandemic, and become involved in Colorado’s votor mandated wolf reintroduction program.
Each of the characters in the trilogy face difficult challenges while experienceing love, loss and tragedy and triumph. Readers will learn of the difficulty faced by this nation’s wildlife as it faces cruelty and indifference at the hands of greedy ranchers, hunters, trappers, and even our own government officials tasked with the humane treatment of our iconic western wild animals.
