Epic Snowshoe Adventure in Colorado’s Winter Wonderland

Go with S.W. Krull Imaging on a snowshoe hike through the Colorado high country during a cold Rocky Mountain snowstorm, including a new YouTube video to stimulate your senses.

Winter Wonderland

We just got done with some of the coldest weather in years, the storm passed over and the sun came out. I knew it was going to be a beautiful morning in the high country, but I didn’t know I’d get quite the show I was fortunate to witness. As I got out of the jeep with my snowshoes, I knew I wasn’t in for an ordinary day. There was a cold wind blowing down the mountainside and for a second I considered just heading for the coffee shop for a hot drink and a cinnamon roll.

It was a tough slog up the side of the mountain against the gale force wind, but the view when I reached the summit was worth the struggle. CLICK THE LINK to check out my new YouTube Video to see the stark beauty of the Rocky Mountain winter in action!

If you would like to learn what it takes to get out in the harsh Rocky Mountain winter and capture stunning images, please consider a purchase of my book, Storm Warning! You will quickly learn to safely access the back country and shoot like a pro in the winter landscape. This book is filled with dozens of images and packed with tips for shooting in the snow and the cold.
