Polishing the Novel

After reviewing my first proof of Thundering Hooves, I  polished it up a bit and ordered a second proof copy.

I had to do a bit of color and tone balancing, but I’m really happy with the results so far 🙂 As you can see, I  added a helicopter to depict the brutal method the BLM uses to destroy our wild horse herds.

Amazon says I’ll be receiving my new copy next Wednesday, so I’ll be chilling until then,  still planning to publish on November 1st.

Fall colors are peaking up here in the southern Rockies, so in the next few days I’m planning to load up some Ektar film in .y old EOS 7 film camera and venture out in search of color! Of course, I’ll also be using my R7 mirrorless to scratch the instant gratification itch.

I just got my film and scans back from my Minolta 500si film camera test. The camera seems to work fine, even though my test film was expired Kodak Gold consumer film. This capture of the South Platte looks pretty nice!

I also like this scene of a herd of mule deer, even though I had a mighty struggle with the color balance on this old expired film stock.

I got a few more pretty nice ones from this roll, so check my Instagram @swkrullimaging  to see the rest!
