Spirit of the Wolf

Horrific story of wolf abuse coming out of Wyoming generating national and worldwide outrage. Finally perhaps the Spirit of the Wolf will finally be respected.

Wolf Abuse in Wyoming

Here’s a link to the story in the New York Post. There’s plenty written about the actual story all over local news and social media already, so I don’t need to retell the story in detail. The main point is that a hunter in Wyoming ran a young wolf to exhaustion, captured it and taped it’s mouth shut with duct tape. He then proceeded to take the wolf to a bar where he showed off his handy work for hours before finally killing the exhausted terrified animal.

Worldwide Interest

The story has commanded worldwide attention and hopefully will result in some changes to our laws. I for one would like to see wild animals given the same protection from cruelty as domestic animals. Wolves are now protected in most of the nation with the exception of the Northern Rockies, due to a final act of betrayal by the exiting Trump administration in 2020.

Don’t Lose the Moment

Now that the despicable treatment of wildlife in Wyoming, Montana, Idaho and some other western states has the spotlight, it would be a shame to let the moment slip away without change. Please call your congressmen, write to the Secretary of Interior, US Fish and Wildlife and anyone else you can think of to demand justice for the young wolf, and permanent change to our wildlife laws, including an outright ban on trapping and trophy hunting in America.

Our wildlife is a national treasure, let’s treat it as such.

Coming of Age Spirit of the Wolf

Spirit of the Wolf is a beautiful coming of age story that begins in the Bay Area of California when photographer Caleb meets beautiful Lacey, who is putting herself through fashion school as a dancer in a local club. The two fall in love while advancing their careers, which threaten to tear them apart. As Caleb and Lacey struggle to define themselves, Caleb reads of faraway Yellowstone National Park, where another species is struggling to find it’s place in the world. In this historical fiction account of the most famous wolf of all time, learn the fate of Luna, a wolf based on the real life of Yellowstone’s Wolf 06.

Will Caleb and Lacey’s careers tear them apart and leave them heartbroken, or will their love take root in the rugged Rocky Mountain wilderness.
